Overall, I loved this book, and thought it was a great addition to both my bookshelf, and the series. The Prince and The Guard talked about both Maxon’s and Aspen’s views on The Selection, which was fun to read. Where are they now? shows us what Natalie, Elise and Kriss are doing after The One. We also get to see the scene where Celeste is dismissed, and I realised that she’s actually a decent human being. We get to read about the kiss that America catches. We get to read about the ride to the palace, and see that she was actually lonely, and wanting someone to fangirl with. In Happily Ever After we get to read three scenes from Celeste’s point of view. Obviously I hated her when she was horrid to the Selected, but I always felt, especially towards the end of the series, that she was just misunderstood. Despite being such a horrible, catty person in the series, she always fascinated me. I really enjoyed reading scenes from Celeste’s point of view.
